Founded in June of 1993, Lantern is a comprehensive, chemical research, manufacturing and distribution enterprise with a concentration on fine chemicals, medicinal plant extracts, natural cosmetics for personal hygiene and skin-care.
Lantern operates six main corporate offices worldwide, and has three manufacturing plants in China. With headquarters in Shenzhen, China, Lantern employs a management staff of 50, 100 sales representatives and 400 persons in its three manufacturing plants. The Shenzhen factory, built in 1993, is approximately 8,000 square meters, with a production capacity of up to 50, 000 bottles per day of its skin-care line. As the company grew and the market for the products increased, the need for a larger facility became apparent and Lantern opened its doors to its second factory in Hainan, China in 2001.
This second factory, approximately 28, 000 square meters has a production capacity of up to 120,000 bottles per day, and is primarily responsible for the color makeup line, as well as the bath and body line. At present, Lantern is in the process of building its third factory in Shanghai, China. This new facility, 35, 000 square meters and having a production capacity of up to 300,000 bottles per day will be responsible for the production of the bath and body and skin-care line. This facility will be fully operational by the end of August 2007.
To service its customers outside of the Chinese market, Lantern formed the division of Lantern Enterprises Ltd. in March 2003. This division is the sole distributor of the Lantern and Mellow brands of health and beauty products. Lantern USA, Inc. located in City of Industry, California is the division servicing the regions outside of China with the premier color cosmetics and makeup line of Lantern.

Emerging from the Research & Development laboratories of Lantern are three major cosmetic and health and beauty brands that have successfully penetrated the ever expanding cosmetic and beauty industry, Lantern, InShore and Mellow. These products are produced in the most sterile of environments as Lantern emphasizes quality and safety control during each stage of the research and production phases in order to ensure the highest quality of its products.

Marketing & Customer Service Strategies
Lantern has successfully penetrated the cosmetic and beauty industry over the past fourteen years and has made a name for itself not only in China, but also in Canada, Australia, Mexico, UK and the United States of America. Lantern has thousands of independently owned retailers and distributors, in both the domestic as well as in the international marketplaces. In addition, Lantern’s products are sold in the mega-store chains of Wal-Mart and Carrefour in China, and are undergoing contract negotiations to extend distribution agreements with Zellers and the Wal-Mart Corporation in Canada. Lantern has also participated in the international premier beauty event, Cosmoprof show in North America and Europe in 2004 and 2005.
The major focus of Lantern’s customer sales is within the metropolitan areas, both domestically and internationally in well established outlets for the ease of product availability. The sales methodology varies by region and is determined by the environment and the flexibility, adaptability and the effectiveness of market penetration on a local as well as a global scale. Prior to product launch, Lantern conducts extensive market research in order to expand on its cosmetics and health and beauty lines, each is tailored to satisfy the growing consumer demands.
Continuous and extensive training and development is provided for the employees of Lantern as each product is rolled out.
